A: For uninterrupted 24/7 monitoring, we recommend keeping the device connected to a suitable 5V/2A power supply through its USB Type-C connection. When running solely on the built-in 2000mAh rechargeable battery with the camera active, operating time is approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Q: Can I view the camera remotely from my phone?
A: Yes. Once connected to Wi-Fi and paired with the Tuya Smart app, you can remotely view live 1080P video, manage camera settings, receive motion notifications and access two-way audio from a compatible iOS or Android smartphone.

Q: Does this camera support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi?
A: Yes. The camera supports dual-band Wi-Fi and can connect to compatible 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless networks, providing greater flexibility when connecting it to your home or office network.

Q: Will I receive an alert if movement is detected?
A: Yes. Motion detection can send real-time notifications directly to your connected smartphone through the Tuya Smart app. Motion sensitivity can also be adjusted within the app to better suit your monitoring environment.

Q: Does the camera work in the dark?
A: Yes. The camera features automatic infrared night vision with visibility up to approximately 6 metres. The internal IR-Cut filter automatically switches between daytime colour video and black-and-white infrared night vision according to surrounding light levels.

Q: Is a faint clicking sound when night vision activates normal?
A: Yes. A faint click is normal and indicates that the internal mechanical IR-Cut filter is switching between daytime and infrared night vision modes.

Q: Does the camera support two-way audio?
A: Yes. The built-in microphone and speaker allow you to listen to activity around the camera and communicate remotely through the Tuya Smart app.

Q: Do I need a paid subscription to record video?
A: No mandatory subscription is required for local recording. You can insert a compatible Class 10 Micro SD/TF card up to 256GB to store footage directly on the device. Optional cloud storage may also be available through the Tuya platform and may require a separate subscription.

Q: What recording modes does the camera support?
A: The camera supports continuous loop recording, motion-triggered recording and scheduled recording, allowing you to choose the recording mode that best suits your monitoring requirements.

Q: What happens to the clock time if the battery completely drains?
A: If the battery drains completely and the unit shuts down, the internal clock timing will stop. Once power is restored, you will need to manually set the clock time again using the controls on the unit.

Q: Does the clock automatically synchronise with the Tuya Smart app?
A: No. The camera functions and weather station clock operate independently. The Tuya Smart app controls the camera functions, while the clock display must be manually configured using the physical controls on the unit.

Q: How do I ensure accurate temperature readings?
A: The temperature sensor is positioned near the rear section of the weather station. For better airflow and more accurate readings, unfold the rear kickstand during use rather than positioning the unit flat against another surface.

Q: Can this camera be used outdoors?
A: No. This model is designed for indoor use only and should be protected from rain, moisture and outdoor weather conditions.
